Sleepers
These trains offer comfortable sleeping compartments with two 75-cm wide berths with high-quality mattresses, quilts and pillows. The price is around £135 per compartment in addition to your ordinary fare.

The Sleepers are available on these lines:





•Oslo–Trondheim

•Oslo–Kristiansand–Stavanger
•Oslo–Bergen

•Trondheim–Bodø

The sleeping compartments accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children under 16. Children under 4 years of age travel free in the compartment.

We recommend that children over 4 have their own berth, since they are just 75 cm wide.

Breakfast is available to purchase from the trains buffet car.

Wheelchair Users?
For wheelchair users, there is a wider compartment available. This has to be booked by calling us on 0191 246 0708

Seat on the night train?
Seats on night trains come with a special pack containing a pillow, travel blanket, eye mask and ear plugs to make your journey more relaxing. You are welcome to take the pack home with you after your journey. If not, the blankets are donated to worthy causes. Some of the chairs have adjustable backrests.

NSB Family - is a dedicated area on board the train for children!

The NSB Familie is a coach with a separate children’s play area. This is included in the price of your ticket. It also has a dedicated space for prams/ pushchairs.

Taking luggage on board
The trains is Norway are designed so that you can take your luggage with you, and carry and stow it yourself. There is an allowance of 30 kgs for hand luggage




If you are traveling with bikes , prams and animals this needs to be booked in advance. Customers cannot travel with pets in with a Komfort or Sleeper ticket.
