The Ocean is an overnight train that runs every day except Tuesday (six times each way) between Montreal and Halifax. Visit the old-world communities of eastern Quebec, or explore the coastal parks and old Acadian villages of New Brunswicks north shore. The city of Moncton can serve as a hub for trips to Prince Edward Island.

Many ways to see the Atlantic region

The Ocean is an overnight train that runs every day except Tuesday (six times each way) between Montreal and Halifax. The total journey takes about 21 hours from station to station (taking just over 16 hours to travel from Montreal to Moncton). From Moncton, bus connections are available to Charlottetown and Summerside, Prince Edward Island. Montreal station connects onward to the rest of Canada on corridor trains, and both Montreal and Halifax stations are close to major air connections.
