Grand Tour of Europe 18 days
Days 1-3 This tour starts in Paris (departure form London is optional) the city of love and elegance. Check into the Hotel Derby right by the Eiffel Tower. Nearby is the Arc de Triomphe leading to the Champ Elysees, for luxury shopping and sightseeing visit world renowned museums such as the Musee d’Orsay for Impressionist paintings, and the Louvre is essential for the painting of the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo and many great works of art.
Days 3-5 Early morning departure by new High Speed train to Barcelona in Spain. Stay at the Tryp Apolo in the famous Ramblas area in the historical quarter.
Days 5-7 Early Morning start crossing the dramatic South of France coastal landscapes of the Camargue and Cote d’Azure. Stay for 2 nights at the Grand Hotel le Florence, Nice, convenient for the Promenade des Anglais, the celebrated beachfront, where the famous casino is to be found.
Days 7-8 Mid morning departure for spectacular ride along the Ligurian coast, passing many tunnels through rocky outcrops to Pisa, well-known for its leaning tower. Stay one night at the La Pace Hotel opposite the station.
Days 8-10 Late afternoon coastal trip to Rome, the eternal city, stay for 2 nightsat the Corot close to the historical centre. Orientate yourself with a sightseeing tour covering the Colisseum, the Roman quarter and St Peter’s Basilica – the wealth of culture is staggering.
Days 10-12 High speed train for the 4 hour journey to Venice arriving at Santa Lucia station on the Grand Canal. It’s a short Waterbus ride to your hotel, the La Forcola near St Marks Square, with its bell tower and the Doges Palace. Take a half day boat trip to Murano Island renowned for its glass ware and take home a unique souvenir. In summer relax on the beach at Venice Lido just 40 minutes away from St Marks Square.
Days 12-14 Dramatic Alpine scenery as the train loops on itself to gain height through breathtaking mountains to Lucerne in Switzerland. This picture postcard city with its historic wooden bridges is set on a crystal clear lake surrounded by mountains. Stay at the Hotel Waldstaetterhof close to the station where you can take a day excursion to Engelberg and Mount Titlis.
Days 14-16 Special day travelling towards Heidelberg with a special stop in Metzingen, home of the Hugo Boss factory outlet together with 20 other designerbrands in this small medieval town in southern Germany. Later travel the short distance to Heidelberg, famous for its Historic university. Stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel within walking distance of the iconic castle and bridge.
Days 16-18 Direct train along the spectacular Rhine valley, acclaimed for its many castles and legends such as the Loreley rock. Stay in Cologne for 2 nightsat the Leonet Hotel. Visit the famous cathedral, take a cruise along the Rhine or enjoy the delights of the ChocolateMuseum with demonstrations at the former Stolberg factory.
Days 18-20 Direct train to Amsterdam staying at the A train Hotel close to the station. Take a cruise along the elegant canals lined with merchant’s houses, visit Ann Franks house or the world famousRijksmuseum full of famous paintings by Dutch masters.
Day 20 Return to Paris by High Speed Thalys train in 3 hours.
Optional 2 night London extension before or following your Grand Tour of Europe.
Days 20-23 Travel by high speed Eurostar train to London in only 2 hours 15 minutes. Stay at the Best Western Boltons hotel in Earls Court, west London. Nearby are the museums in South Kensington such as the Victoria and Albert.

Daily throughout the year (except 25 December). Extra nights possible in all cities also Brussels. Before or after your holiday special rates are available atthe 3* Cresstfield or 4* Euston Hilton, close to St Pancras station, London.
