Affecting routes: Paris Gare du Lyon to Milan Central / Porta Garibaldi and Milan Central / Porta Garibaldi to Paris Gare du Lyon
All rail traffic is suspended in the are between Modane and Chambery for engineering checks on the railway line following a landslide.
High-speed trains on the Milan – Modane – Paris route may experience delays and be subject to route limitations or cancellations.

Rail traffic is still suspended between Modane and Chambery
High speed trains on the Milan – Modane – Paris route are cancelled.
The train FR 9296 Milano Centrale (3.53pm) – Modane – Paris Gare de Lyon (10.34pm) ends the journey in Bardonecchia.
Passengers can contact Trenitalia customer service staff.
The train FR 9287 Paris Gare de Lyon (15:16) – Modane – Milano Centrale (22:07) originates from Bardonecchia.

03 September 2023: HIGH SPEED LINE CLOSURE ON THE FRENCH / ITALIAN BORDER DUE TO LANDSLIDE.
Rail traffic remains suspended between Modane and Chambery.
There are currently no forecasts regarding the restoration on the line to rail traffic.
The following high-speed trains on the Milan – Modane – Paris route are cancelled:
• FR 9292 Milano Centrale (6.25am) – Modane – Paris Gare de Lyon (1.22pm)
• FR 9281 Paris Gare de Lyon (7.30am) – Modane – Milano Centrale (2.07pm)
• FR 9287 Paris Gare de Lyon (3.16pm) – Modane – Milano Centrale (10.07pm)
• FR 9296 Milano Centrale (3.53pm) – Modane – Paris Gare de Lyon (10.34pm)

PLEASE NOTE: That in Canada some VIA RAIL and ROCKY MOUNTAINEER services may be subject to diversion / change or cancellation due to wildfires the country is currently experiencing (12/09/23)
PLEASE NOTE: That services that were due to travel through the Gotthard Base Tunnel are subject to diversion over the old Gotthard pass line – this is due to a frieght train derailment that happened towards the end of August 2023. (12/09/23)
